Pending on the map and the territory they control, there can be a number of different territories which can cut them off. In order to break the enemies supply line you have to capture their cutoff. It's something to be aware of, and is a reason to leave machine guns in green cover instead of in a building. Flamers, grenades, and mortars are good tools to vacate buildings.Ĭurrently, machine guns in buildings take a while to reposition before they shoot (you can't pick which window its positioned at). ![]() It can be rather difficult to dislodge units from buildings, especially for OKW in the early game. Also, if the building loses 3 of its walls it is prone to collapsing. If the building collapses it will take all of the units inside with it. Always watch the buildings health, and if it gets to low make sure to evacuate. Usually larger buildings and churches are safe to use. Small wooden buildings and shacks are usually poor options because they die very quickly and have few windows to shoot out of. The doors also represent where you can enter and exit the building. For mg's and flamer squads 1 window buildings can be alright, but for a regular squad of troops 3 windows or more is best. ![]() 3 windows on one side means only 3 units can shoot out of that side of the building). ![]() Units shoot out of buildings based upon the amount of windows (etc. But you have to be wary about which buildings to man. The buildings provide the highest level of cover in the game. At higher level play, it's a rush to have building control due to the immense advantage they give. There are lots of benefits to putting units in buildings. ![]()
